Kolega Fisheries

With a story rich in hope, sacrifice and adventure, the Kolega family immigrated to Australia in 1959.

Kolega Fisheries was established in the early 60’s, and became part of a group of pioneering South Australian Croatian Fisherman.

Our company owns two modern prawn vessels, each equipped with state of the art electronics, machinery and refrigeration systems.

We are members of the Spencer Gulf and West Coast Prawn Fishermen’s Association. This organisation is highly respected throughout Australia and is known for managing the fishery as a united group in partnership with the South Australian Government.

We have successfully sold and exported prawns to various countries including Spain, Greece, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.

Our Company is EU approved.
